A Lazy Saturday

Every so often you need to have one of those days where you don’t do anything but relax and play.  This past Saturday was one of those days.  It was a rainy morning so instead of heading to the park, we pulled William’s box of trains out to the living room and began building.

I love playing with my son because his imagination is beginning to come alive and watching him escape into the world he is creating is so much fun.  He tries to explain what he’s building and have us join in although much of what he says is lost in translation.  Taking the time to slow down and play rather than run around doing errands on the weekend was exactly what I needed and what I need to do more often.
