A Day Playing

044The purpose of our road trip this past weekend was to visit family.  We hadn’t seen my grandma since Christmas and figured we’d better before our son got too big she didn’t remember him.  What started out as a quick visit ended up being an all day stay with plenty of outside time with cousins and valuable time chatting with my grandma and uncle.

073The day of playing was also the perfect way for us to spend time outside taking in the country air under a beautiful blue sky.  Fluffy white clouds rolled overhead and a smooth breeze helped keep the sweat at bay.  The only downside to the day was William getting a little too much sun and having red arms the following morning.  He didn’t seem to mind though.

060William picked flowers for his mom (We call them dandelions), chased his cousins, and kicked the soccer ball.  He wandered around the green grass, running as fast as he could and yelling with joy.  His cousin, Contessa, made sure to spend as much time with him as she could.  Pulling him by the hand around the yard, calling him buddy, and entertaining him throughout the afternoon.  I enjoyed kicking the soccer ball around with my brother’s older kids and also just sitting back and relaxing.

080It was the perfect spring day for spending time with family and letting the kids enjoy fresh air and exercise.
